Interview Question – Tell us about a time you had to overcome a difficult situation, how did you do it and what was the end result Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Did the whole interview process and got a call saying that I was pre-hired and they really liked my profile and would fit in well with A&F but that they would get back to me because they didn't have space available so they would have to wait for one and get back to me. It's been a couple of days so, we'll see what they have to say.
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch.
Interview Details I heard about it on a group on Facebook and the girl had gotten me an interview through there it was really casual

Interview Details I applied through a kiosk at the store that I wanted to work in. I was interviewed by the manager on the spot. The manager and the rest of the people working there were really friendly and kind. She didn't have much to ask me since my resume was pretty concise.
Interview Question – Why do you want to work with us? Answer Question
Very Easy Interview
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3+ weeks - interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch.
Interview Details it is a three part process. Contacting or being recruited by a store manager who will invite you in basically be judged by the other manager sand assistants on if you have the AnF look( are you good looking enough?). Then the Store manager will set you up with an interview with the District Manager. Who will ask you simple questions as if you we're being interview for a part time job. Its just another interview to see if you are not too smart for the AnF lifestyle but not dumb enough to forget your flip flops at home before work. They will delay the process as if theres a million people applying for the position just so the company will be short staffed nd save money by having the least amount of time in manager overlap. They will call you back with a start date and explain that it is a 3-6 month process in the MIT program before you become a key holder. within 3 weeks you will have a key, and your training abruptly ends where you have to figure out processes on your own.
Interview Question – give a detailed time when you faced a difficult situation or customer, how did you deal with it?
Why do you think you're fit for the position?
what comes to mind when you think of the Abercrombie and Fitch Brand?
Describe a time when you worked well with others.
Skittles or M&M's? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – A long wait for a start date, with a District Manager who refused to answer calls from people who are not current managers or have a home office area code or saved in his company issued iPhone.
I applied online and interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch.
Interview Details I attended a career global fair and approached the a&f booth. I asked about the company and the MIT program. I was then given an invitation card to a MIT information session. I then applied online and was contacted via email to arrange a time to attend MIT session.
I wore casual (some a&f) clothing and was joined with 4 others who were interested in the program. We met the general manager and it was a really casual meeting. He said it wasn't an interview and to relax but it actually was. He went around the room and took turns asking each of us the same questions and took notes at the same time. At the end of the session we were allowed to ask questions and he then took a photo of each us. The whole process took about an 1 and 30 mins.
I received a call 4 days later and was offered another interview with the district manager. Waiting to see what happens next.
Interview Question – What do you know about a&f?
Why do you want to work for a&f?
What are your hobbies? Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in February 2011.
Interview Details I sent my resume through the email on the website and got an email back from one of their recruiters in my area asking for a chance to interview me. We met up about 2 weeks after at a Starbucks and he asked me the typical questions:
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- Why do you want to work with A&F?
- Asked me about my past experiences... such as working in teams, being a leader, etc.
After a week I got a call back from the recruiter and told me the next step was for me to have a sit down with the District Manager of the store I'd be working at if I got the position. That took about 2 weeks to happen. We met and a week later I got a call back getting a job offer to start the following week.
It was a pretty chill interview process overall... but after working with the company as a manager for a little over two years and recruiting potential MIT candidates, associates, etc. myself, I can say that the main thing the company wants are people who fit their "look". If you fit that A&F "look" you probably got the job, if you don't, even though you might be a great candidate for the position and have everything and more they're asking for, you won't get it... it sucks, but it's the truth.
