Salesperson Interview

I applied online and interviewed at Sheetz.

Interview Details Never got a call-back after completing online assessment. I called the store I applied at and was told I didn't pass the assessment! Curious as to why, I called corporate offices and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Guess I should have BS'd my way to an interview.

Interview Question – Never had the opportunity.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Sheetz in January 2013.

Interview Details I applied on line on Friday. I was called to schedule an interview on Sunday. I was interviewed on Thursday. The interviewer was very friendly. The interview lasted approximately 15 minutes. I was told that I would receive another call this Sunday to let me know if I would be given a second interview. I got a call Sunday as promised only to find out they hired someone else that was willing to work a lot of 3rd shifts.

Associate Interview

Associate
Joppa, MD (US)

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Sheetz in April 2011.

Interview Details The interview was a joke. The woman who interviewed me appeared to have absolutely no idea what she was doing. She referred to the customers as "aholes" and didnt even really ask me any questions. I think she honestly decided not to hire me the minute she saw me walk in the door. I tried to strike up conversation but i think she was too confused with trying to figure out how to operate the computer and conduct the interview to actually talk with me. It was frustrating simply because I felt that she didn't give me a fair chance. It seemed like a pretty good company to work for though. I interviewed in a pretty clean store and all the other employees seemed to be cheerful.

Interview Question – "...Alright ..so you've got experience with people from retail and stuff..so what would you do if a customer came in and they were just rude"   Answer Question

Assistant Store Manager Interview

Assistant Store Manager

I applied online and interviewed at Sheetz.

Interview Details Typical questions from the store manager. Confirmed that they will not hire someone outside of company without food experience for assistant manager position. Even if you meet all the other qualifications. The DM likes to promote from within.

Interview Question – What do you think of the words "good enough"?   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Sheetz in June 2011.

Interview Details I applied online & within 2 days I got an interview offer. I interviewed with a shift manager & she seemed to really like me. I was supposed to get a call back that Friday. After no call I called them back on Saturday & left a message. The next Wednesday I got a call asking me to do an interview with the hiring manager. That went alright, same exact questions as before. Once again I was supposed to get a call back on that Friday. After 2 calls & messages to them.,I got a call two weeks later informing me that since I had never had a job, I didn't have enough experience & that they filled the position with someone who had multiple jobs before.

I applied online and interviewed at Sheetz.

Interview Details I applied for a job on the Sheetz website. The job I applied for was actually at another store than the one I got the interview, so I guess all Sheetz have access to applications submitted in an area. It was a week or two after I applied until I received a phone call to set up an interview. When I got to the interview I was offered a beverage before we started, but I declined. The interview was held in the backroom of the store. The interview itself was pretty standard.

Interview Question – The questions asked were average, but the question I tripped up on was "Who do you look up to?". In retrospect, it was an easy question. I didn't have an an answer at the time, so I had a long pause before I answered. In the future, I will have a better thought out answer to use.   Answer Question
