Finance Intern

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at AXA Advisors

ProsInternship was a valuable learning experience. Largely highly legit tasks and no getting coffee. Great resume booster.

ConsUnpaid, responsibilities didn't vary greatly so after a while, not much left to learn.

Advice to Senior ManagementTop talent often requires compensation as many students will not work for free.

Intern!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at AXA Advisors as an intern

ProsThe culture in the office is great. Solid people around you looking to help and build your career. The managers are there to help, since you make them money.

ConsThe downfall is that it is very tough to get started in the industry, but if you can do so it is very lucrative. As a young or recent college graduate be ready to be working 50-60 hours a week to really get your foot in the door.

ProsThe employer and the whole work environment is friendly, you learn about the business and it's flexible.

An enjoyable professional experience

Financial Representative Intern (Current Employee)
Rochester, NY (US)

I have been working at AXA Advisors as an intern for less than a year

ProsAlthough I am an intern at AXA Advisors, many of the full time emplyees have reached out to me and offered their help or guidance. The work environment is very relaxed but you know that everyone there is a team and works as hard as they can.

ConsSome of the training is too laid back. I would prefer a more regimented program especially because everyone attending is new.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to reach out to young employees and make training more regimented.
