    Challenging, stimulating and fulfilling

Project Coordinator (Current Employee) Boston, MA (US)

ProsThe leadership encourages individuality, independence and trust.

ConsThe building could use a major renovation. Computer hardware, cubicles, interior design feels like an elementary school from the 1980's, extremely outdated. Lacking sunlight from outside induces subtle feelings of claustrophobia.

Advice to Senior ManagementIn addition to the 'welcome new staff member' email, consider showing the new hire around the office space and formally introducing them to staff outside of the team that would serve as a valuable resource to them. Making this effort should demonstrate the importance of relationship building and help the new hire feel comfortable in the new environment.

ProsExcellent people and research facility, a good place for postdoc. Nice health insurance plan with low monthly rates, and access to Harvard gyms.

Consthey do not provide any 401k or retirement benefit. probably is true for postdoc positions at most other places too.

Research Intern (Former Employee) Boston, MA (US)

ProsIncredible opportunity to work with physicians, researcher, and scholars at the tops of their fields on new ideas and innovative treatments. Some of the best care in the world.

ConsBecause it is such a leader in care and research, you must be on your toes. Be ready to accept demanding challenges, but they are so rewarding.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe hospital does a good job of seeming like a family rather than a bureaucracy, but that feel of an institution still creeps in at points.
