    I worked at Citi

    Pros

Great Job with room for advancement. I was employed for 2 years there during the worst part of the recession and found it to be a great place to work. The Benefits are really good. Vacation days, Sick Leave, etc. Good Opportunity to move to other departments, if there is a layoff.

    Cons

None. Some people didn't like cubicles. But that wasn't a big deal for me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Growing footprint in Dublin means that its proving to be a pivitol location globally with more senior role opportunities becoming available. Excellent career advancement potential if you work hard and network. Dublin site is a great location, on site Gym etc so a lovely place to work and a great corporate and social culture.

    Cons

It is political but what large company with 2,500 people onsite and 250,000 globally isn't. Also, as with all multinationals, promotion can seem slower but the career potential can't be matched by indigenous companies

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in Dublin ☺. The talent is here.

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work enviroment; team place; good to grow and develop ..lots of opportunities to work with some really smart and motivated people

    Cons

No real cons...payouts can be lower than some of the other banks and definitely lower than hedge funds or private equity shops...not as flexible of a work culture as some hedge funds

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve compensation

I have been working at Citi

    Pros

    great company and training program
work-life balance is acceptable but you have to work very hard to impress people

    Cons

people may be too busy to teach you anything. therefore you need to be able to learn by yourself

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

training program should be more focused on a core desk instead of a rotational program

I worked at Citi as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

All of my superiors were easy to work with, smart and willing to help me improve. I learned a lot from my time at Citi PB, because I was willing to put my head down and work hard. But to be honest, it wasn't that laborious because my co-workers were all so helpful.

    Cons

IT was terrible throughout my time working there. I constantly had issues with computers, getting access, etc. My first two weeks were difficult because of how little I could get done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try and create some pride within the organization. Lots of people are thinking about their next move.
