I have been working at Fujitsu full-time for less than a year

    Pros

My manager and team were great to work with. The job offered a great deal of flexibility and I liked working for a company who cares so much about sustainability and the environment.
The job I had offered great work / life balance and my manager was flexible with my hours and work.

    Cons

While they have a lot of good ideals, these are rarely in use on a day to day basis or employees are not encouraged to work towards these ideals. They were meant to be an ITIL company but didn't have any testing strategies or practices.
To compound the issue all Business Analyst and Software Development roles were moved off shore (for any new positions) essentially making team work in my team much more difficult. As our team supported many different timezones a few people worked really crazy hours for not much personal benefit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more time in processes and procedures. When cost cutting, find ways to make sure that you are not breaking up teams that are working and seriously consider the benefits of moving key roles like software engineers offshore as intangible costs will erode any profit margin and will lower the moral of employees.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Very good hardware ranges
    Occasional technical training
    Good pension
    Amazing people

    Cons

    -Lower than market rate salary
    -Unfair 1-2-1 performance reviews
    -Non-stop re-organisations
-Management do wrong financial forecast at the beginning of the year then later realising it was unreal start cutting corners saying we are in lost. As a result all the budget gets slashed.
-Whole performance review is based on peer feedbacks and managers are desperate to downgrade your performance because they have been told that exceptional performance is unrealistic thing to obtain. If you have say 10 team objectives and a particular piece of work can only satisfy 7 of them you will be forced to take it, but then at the end of the year you will be blamed on performance review for not meeting the remaining 3 items. This is unfair because it is not employee's fault that he/she was not given a proper work. By other word if you are CSA3 and doing CSA2 piece of work due to absence of CSA3 related work then even if you do it exceptionally you will not be able to obtain exceptional performance. Moreover the whole performance review process is uncontrolled and manager chose not to honour any high mark to employees because they do not want to be grilled by backing them up later in front of their managers. Although there are procedure to follow nobody follow them.
-There are no or a very few company provided labs for architects to build their solutions which leads to multiple rework/project failures
-Instead of saying "follow/stick to the procedures" managers says "cover your back".
-You are just a body/number for your management
