I have been working at Fujitsu full-time

    Pros

Work / life balance is terrific.

    Cons

The company is so large and rigid there is no flexibility to cater to the needs of individual employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more money on training your employees in order to keep their skills relevant.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

My manager and team were great to work with. The job offered a great deal of flexibility and I liked working for a company who cares so much about sustainability and the environment.
The job I had offered great work / life balance and my manager was flexible with my hours and work.

    Cons

While they have a lot of good ideals, these are rarely in use on a day to day basis or employees are not encouraged to work towards these ideals. They were meant to be an ITIL company but didn't have any testing strategies or practices.
To compound the issue all Business Analyst and Software Development roles were moved off shore (for any new positions) essentially making team work in my team much more difficult. As our team supported many different timezones a few people worked really crazy hours for not much personal benefit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more time in processes and procedures. When cost cutting, find ways to make sure that you are not breaking up teams that are working and seriously consider the benefits of moving key roles like software engineers offshore as intangible costs will erode any profit margin and will lower the moral of employees.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Being an outsourcing company for a company in Japan, there's always new things to learn and new challenges to conquer. The monetary benefits are great and its quite easy to apply for leaves, though its sometimes abused by employees.

    Cons

Employees' career growth is not the focus of this company, typical of a Japanese company. Though there are exceptions especially when you're on the good side of your managers and supervisors, typical of a company in the Philippines. Lots of under-performing who are given endless chances because they'd rather keep a rotten tomato than lose it. Again, typical of a company/business in the Philippines.

And being typical of an outsourced company, clients don't trust right away and they'd think twice of training staffs to perform projects. It can't be helped when its common in the Philippines for incompetent people to be hired in crucial positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus not only on the employees' financial gains and benefits. Though most would prefer getting paid while not working and learning much, there are truly exceptional employees who want more than just a paid job.
