Pros – Small company provided opportunities for individuals to learn breadth and depth of knowledge
Good freedom for individuals to establish themselves
Excellent technical information involved in day-to-day work
Good benefits

Cons – Lack of training / development
Some departments had no career paths
Critical employees were overworked

Advice to Senior Management – Clearer decision-making and prioritization
Better communication from upper management to employees
Treat your primary customer better

challenging and interesting work

Pros – Great co-workers who are friendly, helpful and highly intelligent
Growing company with some room for advancement
Tuition reimbursment and encouragment to gain advanced knowledge and develop professionally
Teams and employees seem receptive to new ideas and suggestions for improvements/implementations to increase efficiency

Cons – Some lack of internal communication and systems support due to rapid growth

Advice to Senior Management – Invest in systems reengineering for improved overall efficiency and customer support as well as accurate insight into business cycles, reportable metrics and internal performance assessments.

Pros – Flexable work time.
G8 health ins. they actually pay when your sick and cover many doc.'s hospital ect.
Good 401k plan Matching upto 4% and the investment choices are mostly good reputable mutual funds.

Cons – Location, St Louis is inexpensive but utterly uninspiring.
Lots of overtime diring lauch windows (I'm on salary)
The left hand at times subverts the right hand and vise versa.
Compensation of higher level people is pretty good but the lower-entery level people are paid so little that they leave after 6months to a year (just enough time that you really get them productive). They find out they can get a 60% salary increase acroos town.

Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the tech people. Eliminate the heat ticket system.
Reduce Thortons attempted take over of the corperate culture, they were sold as a dieing comany rife with customer disatifaction and "big aerospace" problems.
