    I worked at Revlon full-time

    Pros

Working with consumer products, employees are valued, always work to be done, and there are many types of projects and products to work with.

    Cons

Not a great location, little room to move up, company money is mostly tied up in marketing, little capital for manufacturing, but no discounts/free products for employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Problems escalate when the solutions are band-aids, instead of preventing them from happening in the first place.

I worked at Revlon full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great people, excellent chance to learn about the cosmetic industry. I was given many opportunities to advance during my time there.

    Cons

Can be "click-ish"! If you're not in the inner circle, you will not be recognized or commended for you work. Turn over rate is very high. Many come in and find out it's not what they expected.

I worked at Revlon full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    * High profile company with leading brands that are (arguably) quite glamorous.
    * Excellent learning environment, with a culture that encourages risk-taking and is not too process-driven/encumbered;
    * Exposure to all facets of the business--operations, marketing, sales--no matter what your role is;

    Cons

    * the nature of the industry means very long planning lead times and continual promotional development (which I suspect is a good thing, but sometimes can be stressful since the pace is so quick.)
    * very cut throat industry where share points are jockeyed around
    * depending on your level, politics can exist
    * high brand spend can sometimes come at the expense of profitability. Which means cuts in personnel, plants, restructuring, have been many in the past 5-8 years.

    I worked at Revlon

    Pros

Many long term employees who care about the business.
Opportunities are there if you work hard and are focused..

    Cons

The market category is volatile; when the company prospers employees do; when the economy is flat, that is when changes are made. Basic business principals followed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize your your biggest assets --- your employees

    Pros

Working there is not very hard. They give you quality training to be able to handle every situation you're going thru.

    Cons

Honeslty no bad comments. The only downside maybe would be is choosing between your first priority when emergency happens like example family emergencies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I cant come up with an advise for the particular company, I thinks the business itself does eveything very well

I have been working at Revlon

    Pros

Nice building if you are in NY
    Professional employees, everybody works hard
Generally a good place to work, even for a short time

    Cons

Not a lot of emphasis on building personal relationships between employees, feels a little aloof- I did not see many employees go to lunch together.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Emphasize building personal relationships
Provide free samples of make up to employees so that they would advertise it or rave about it to others.
