I have been working at Siemens full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Switched on and knowledgeable teams, understanding and supporting middle management with a focus on continual development and training of staff. Good ethnic and gender diversity within the teams.

    Cons

Appears to be quite politically driven, can affect decisions in business that would otherwise be quite simple. Little to no cohesion with the upper management at times can make it feel like they are like faceless men.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More interaction and bonding with lower level teams would be good to promote cohesion, to work better towards the bigger picture.

I have been working at Siemens full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Technology leader, established support structure for career development, ability to relocate internationally. Depth of knowledge very good in most countries. Good training opportunities exist.

    Cons

Company politics can be counterproductive at times, very process driven, not very nimble. Frequent global restructuring tends to create a significant amount of inward focus.

I worked at Siemens full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good name for the resume.
    - Company name make the sales task easier
    - Great place to learn and self improvement. continuous learning courses arranged by by HR and paid by business unit
    - Strong management and clear reporting line.
    - Excellent marketing material and presentations.

    Cons

    - Limited authorities for employees and mid management. Quotations higher than 100,000 Euro should get approval from Germany and 100 questions will be asked before approval.
    - Low pay comparing to peers in US companies.
    - Difficult to move between business units or between countries for mid management level and managed employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time to listen to employees and learn from them how to keep them. Online surveys doesn't tell the full story. Otherwise, SIEMENS will become a training center and source of trained people to their competitors.
Money is very important for employees.
