    Great Experiences and Growth

Senior Consultant (Current Employee) Cincinnati, OH (US)

Pros--Benefits: immediate 150% 401k match up to 6% contribution and just 3-year vested schedule, Profit Sharing, Vacation Days, Tuition Reimbursement...
--Training material available: there's an entire learning center for consultants to access
--Bonus Program: Reading some of the other reviews, it seems people aren't a fan of it and one reviewer said "you have to work your butt off to get a bonus".... NO KIDDING? You don't say?! What kind of concept is that? Work extra hard to get BONUS pay, above and beyond your generous salary?! Another reviewer said you need to be "in" with the people that rate. Why yes, you should be reaching out to your local management and be proactive. How do you think they're going to rate you if they don't even know you exist? The Bonus Program is definitely a positive about this company.
    --Overall work/personal life balance
    --Project opportunities
    --Client Base
    --Counselor Program
--Support from regional / geographical managers and Account Executives: be proactive and keep in touch with the important people in your region and in your unit. You will get lots of support from them and will be given great opportunities, as you show you care and put forth more effort.

ConsThe only "con" I experience isn't company-specific, it's the nature of business and consulting. There are times you're given short notice or little information on projects and have to adjust quickly and be on your own to figure out what's going on. All you do to overcome that is communicate well and be proactive and ask questions / reach out to points of contact who will guide you. If anything, this can actually be a "pro" because it keeps you on your feet and forces you to learn / grow at a faster pace than the typical "comfort zone".

Advice to Senior ManagementThe upper management I've come in contact with have been very supportive and always communicate opportunities for webinars we can attend, keep us in the loop about what's going on in the unit, industry, etc...

The only thing I did wish is that we could get more support for are external training events. There's a lot of free webcasts and training we have access to, but sponsored events put on by technical corporations or professional organizations, like SAP, TIBCO and PMI, those are next to impossible to get funding for.

    Great growing company

Manager (Current Employee) Atlanta, GA (US)

ProsGreat benefits, encourage career growth. If you want to do something they will tell you to go for it. Working with fortune 100 clients. Growing aggressively in Atlanta. Great team of talent.

ConsNot the place for those who just want to put their heads down and work. Not the place for those who want things handed to them

A innovative and welcoming company, which balances being a trailblazer in it's field with a welcoming environment.

Business Development Manager (Current Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsA stirling and well rounded training facility, combined with support from all area's of senior managment gave me both the skills and the confidence to progress and succeed. Within 4- months of joining the company I had been sent on 4 training courses as well as having spent considerable time with each of the sector heads. Additionally, It is great to be part of a leading company with such a respectable presence in the market and a real emphasis on remaining there.

ConsWhist the social aspect of the company more than furfills expectations, it would be nice to have more of an orientation towards team building days and sports teams. However, that said I know plans are in place to start a company football team.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease continue to take the time to interact with new staff. This interaction provides both a welcoming aspect whilst making you feel valued and enthusiastic about work.

Sogeti UK offers a real oportunity to make a real difference, and work with really lovely people.

Head of UK Marketing (Current Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsGreat work life balance, growing organisation, entrepreneurial spirit, flat management where your voice can be heard, always something new and exciting going on.

ConsInternal communication could be better, but working in a consultancy this is always tough for those working on client site. As a result of consultants dotted around the country, you don't always get to see or know everyone in the business as often or as well as you might like, however the executive team does well to arrange social gatherings, quarterly meetings etc.

Good company for self-driven people with leadership qualities.

Manager Consultnat (Current Employee) Omaha, NE (US)

ProsHard work and leadership potential is recognized and rewarded with responsibility, challenge, and opportunities. The benefits are good. They include generaous vacation time, health care, and 401k. Your bonus is performance driven bonus amongst your unit and region. You get to work with a network of really smart people.

ConsEvery year there are changes to policies regarding benefits and infrastructure, leadership, and general political alignment. Communication from leadership, especially national and regional level, is not that great. Not many people have heard of Sogeti.

Advice to Senior ManagementSolidify policy and shift culture away from modesty.

Senior Consultant (Current Employee) Dallas, TX (US)

ProsLot of opportunities to learn, best part you will get placed in same city no need to travel

ConsWhen you are on bench they do pay salary, but drawback is you loose your IBP (Individual Bonus Points)...

Advice to Senior ManagementThey are awesome!! Fraser, Leanne, Doug , Ryden Elizabeth -- Great team and big asset to Sogeti USA...

Excellent place to work. Loads of opportunity for career progression if you're good at your job

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsLots of customers to work. Lots of them are blue-chip and finance based
The company is expanding a lot in the UK and there is a lot of opportunity to progress
There are training courses available to Consultants like ISTQB etc
Very good name in the market because of the formal testing processes and developed methodologies like TMAP

ConsSometimes you will need to travel across the country to work on different customer sites. They are up front with that as a possibility in the interview though.
Also you have be very good to get to the higher levels of consultant because of competition

Advice to Senior ManagementMore readily available automation courses

Sogeti is what you make it

Senior Consultant (Current Employee) Cincinnati, OH (US)

ProsSogeti rewards stars. If you are pro-active, focused on furthering your career and education, want to earn bonuses, you will. I did. There is support, but you need to reach out for it, they don't push it on you. If you go on the bench, you still get paid as a FTE. If you go on the bench for a long time, if you've been a good employee (high client reviews) they will support you for months. It's what you make it.

ConsIf you are a pencil pusher and choose not to shine, you're Sogeti experience will reflect your lackluster performance. It is a true mirror of your effort. If you are a complainer, you will complain about Sogeti.

Advice to Senior ManagementLower the Go-No Go for pursuits to smaller companies.

Excellent company, great opportunity, great people, quality work in prestigious clients.

Senior Consultant (Current Employee) Indianapolis, IN (US)

ProsSogeti has a focus on their people like no other company I've worked for. The emphasis is on training, personal growth, advancement, opportunity and providing excellent benefits and rewards for good performance. They care if the work is challenging or you are unhappy at a client, you aren't just body. Project based work in a team environment. Sogeti is an innovative and creative leader in the IT services industry and it's cool to be a part of it.

ConsI really can't think of any significant cons. Sogeti is what you make it, they provide support and training, it's up to you to take advantage of those opportunities and to make things happen for yourself.
