I have been working at Syntel

    Pros

BNFS is really good and organized. Good learning experience. Since the client is very process oriented same is hence practiced as well.

    Cons

Most of the Middle/Senior management think of you as a threat if you start asking questions. They need people as work horses. RLT is the hell of all and full of pseudo intellectuals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think...why all the talent leaves the company even though you have world class facilities.

    Pros

job security, job security, onsite opp, can relocate to different openings within co

    Cons

lot of politics, senior mgmt is political and does not address issues

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

senior mgmt should be more fair than biased and see from holistic point of view of entire organisation instead of seeing who will work for longer time and promotions should also be based on talent than who will work for them

I have been working at Syntel full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy access with Hr, friendly nature management. Company offers a good package while joining. If its a specific tool then it will add some plus.

    Cons

The company policies keep changing. We never know when we would be suddenly asked to work on a saturday. And the reason is "Due to Emergency deliverables " .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage employees who are already working in organisation rather waiting for a superstar joining the company.

    Pros

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They will hear in one ear and they will leave that in another ear so no advice to management...

I have been working at Syntel full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Job stability
Huge Campus, Good Transport, Medical Facilities
    Infrastructure is good.
    Good onsite opportunity specifically H1B

    Cons

    Poor Leadership and management
    Lack of projects.
mostly L1 and L2 kind of work
No Knowledge Transfer or it is very limited.
HR policies are different for employee to employee.
    Linguistic favorism
Will recommend if some one is really in need of a job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Syntel is a CMM 5 company but need to do a lot to actually reach that level. As sometimes this CMM level doesnot matter because now a days PAN shops even get ISO Certification.
Company Tagline is "Client First" but it should be "Employee First"
