Great people doing great work!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at United Nations Foundation as an intern for less than a year

ProsThe open workplace facilitated employees getting to know one another. Everyone was always making sure that I was getting the work I expected and willing to train me in new tasks. Received very helpful career advice

ConsSuperiors were great, fellow interns took themselves a little too seriously and were very unprofessional.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

A good place to intern, depending on the department

Intern (Former Employee)
Washington, DC (US)

I worked at United Nations Foundation as an intern for less than a year

ProsUN Foundation has a lot going for it in terms of the intern experiece:
Many opportunities to make substantive contributions.
Variety of projects
Company/Intern Bonding and Service Projects
Good connections, friendly and supportive colleagues.
PAID!

ConsVery top-down structure, especially in decision making. Employee vs. Executive vision occasionally seemed to clash.
Corporate atmosphere, especially for a non-profit

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep a more watchful eye on organizational culture.

I worked at United Nations Foundation as an intern for less than a year

ProsGood pay and good holidays, people are nice.

ConsA little bit bureaucratic but as an organization with 200-300 employees, it's unavoidalbe

Working here is nothing short of a pleasure

I have been working at United Nations Foundation full-time

ProsIt's an amazing work environment filled with passionate and supportive people. I consider myself very lucky to get to work in a place that provides so much to their employees.

ConsThis foundation is very busy changing the world for the better and so the office is constantly busy and is incredibly fast paced. While I enjoy this aspect of it, I'm sure other people may not be able to keep up.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou're great!

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
