Long-drawn process, there is a telephone interview followed by a behavioral interview, followed by a skill based interview and lastly a partner interview.
HR pretty much control every aspect of this interview. The worst part is that if you have skills and prior experience, they always try to hire you down at a lower level (disregarding your prior work experience) and pay you lesser than market rates.
Interview Question – Behavioral questions-prepare well for these Answer Question
Negotiation Details – HR didn't negotiate the salary eventhough I tried.

Interview Details I applied Accenture through the Accenture Adventure, applications open 1 year 4 months before the actual job starts!! So you have to look out for it. First was an online test to see if you are a fit for the company. Don't have much tips for that, just answer using common sense I guess, its not those logical tests, more like behavioral tests. Then its a telephone interview, very brief, for me only confirmed my working status in Australia and also a bit about my education. Then I had a face to face interview with a consulting at Accenture, only 1 to 1, so not as scary. This was more motivational and behavioral interview, so why Accenture and why IT consulting (which was what I was apply for). Tell us a time where....the usual questions I would say not too much of a surprise and the interview went for 1 hour. After going through all that you would then be invited to a assessment day which they call it the Accenture Adventure. It was a GREAT day for me, had heaps of fun and wasn't very stressful. It was a whole day event and you get put into groups, first got to know each other and mingling for a bit. Then in our groups we played a game, it was very interactive and got the group together, think of it as playing monopoly with team against other teams. Remember to ask your group leader (an Accenture employee) regarding tips and stuff, they would know a bit . Just be yourself I would say and don't be shy to voice out your opinions but don't be too bossy. After that we had to prepare a presentation regarding a case study. Whilst doing that, 1 on 1 interviews with managers would take place. The interview is like 20 minutes long, I don't remember much of the questions because nothing was too surprising or hard. Just went through my CV and my interest in consulting. So that was the whole day of activities and if you got through they would give you a call in about 2 weeks. Hope this helps.
Interview Question – Most difficult for me would've been the case study. I didn't mention the case study above was because I think I'll mention it here. The case study was regarding a bank and how Accenture can help this bank, there were about 10-15 pages of information to digest and we had a time limit to present it. It was a lot of information and data, like the companies objectives, the growth in the banking industry, what is happening in the market. The information is definitely not Australia, could be fictional could be some other country. Be aware that not all the information provided is useful, some are there to trick you, so if you don't use all of it its ok. We had to present it to managers and it was quite stressful. The feedback we got was that we gave solutions to help the bank but we didn't really mention how it would help the bank. Also a question I didn't expect was, "So you have presented us a solution, what's next?" I didn't really know what the next step was and we were kinda stuck at that. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I didn't do any negotiating, I just accepted.

I was selected to attend the interview with other candidates. First phase was an information session. After that, we had a group assessment, later on the group was split in half and finally we had a one on one interview. All this happened in one day.
Later we had interviews with senior management.

Introduced via referral scheme. Meant to be 3 interviews - HR screen, partner screen, case study
My process:
HR screens (2)
Managing Partner Screens (2)
Partner Case Interview (1) - incomplete due to unsatisfactory conditions to complete the case
Partner Case Interview (2) - completed
Head of Consulting Screening Interview
Interview Question –
No difficult questions as behavioural interviewing method not really used.
Cases weren't difficult, although partner expected considerable finesse in case study method rather than excellence in business insight.
Considerable annoyance at proceeding to offer then withdrawing due to hiring freezes, especially following a confusing recruitment process.
HR very good at trying to keep me interested in joining subject to changing business conditions for 6 months thereafter, but the managing partner that this role supposedly was his 2IC, couldn't have cared less - returned no calls, emails and didn't deliver on any promises.
On following up (again) this year everyone at Accenture had lost interest. Given this was a 10 month process, this shows that Accenture are a difficult and confusing company to interview for, who don't appear to know what they're doing (marketing promoting referral entry points when demand is slowing, convoluted interviewing processes made-up-as-they-went where 7 interviews were required), really string you along and waste your time.
