Business Loan Administration Credit Analyst I at BB&T

Accepted Offer – Reviewed May 15, 2013 New

Interview Details Initial phone interview with HR. Basic questions about myself, why I want to work in banking, and surprisingly some behavioral questions but nothing too difficult.
Got a call back to interview in Winston. Interviewed with two separate team leaders for about an hour each. They asked all kinds questions. I can't remember anything specific, but they were mostly situational/behavioral questions that required wordy answers. Nothing that really blew me away though or caught me off guard completely. Very standard and straight forward.

Interview Question – Tell me about a time when something didn't work out as planned, and how did you deal with it?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation because I was right out of college.

IRA Associate at BB&T

No Offer – Interviewed in Richmond, VA (US) – Reviewed May 14, 2013 New

Interview Details Simple straightforward interview that consisted of interviewing with two people. Both started off introducing themselves and then went on to them telling me about the company and duties for the position I applied for.

The negative aspect of the interview was that although I interviewed with two people, one was exceptionally professional which was the manager of the department. The other interviewer, however looked out of place and was like a deer-in-the-headlights during the whole interview. It seemed as if he didn't have the interviewing experience and had little to no confidence even though he said he had over 10 years of experience in the industry.

Next you will be ask to complete an online mock call scenario. After satisfactory completion, then you will be ask in for the final interview.

Interview Question – I don't recall any question being difficult. Most questions were asked to determine how persuasive and "thick skin" you were.   Answer Question

Interview Details Phone interview with a recruiter, who found me online. Scheduled an interview with the boss, in-office, and spent an hour with XXXXX. Then, met with four or five members of the team, who interviewed me as well.

Interview Question – Nothing out of the ordinary. Pretty basic. Lots about teamwork, difficulties I've found in past jobs, how to handle stressful situations, etc.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – All negotiations went through the headhunter. Money was good, but asked for -- and received -- an extra week of vacation. So, do the same. Tell them you want three weeks vacation to start.

Relationship Banker at BB&T

Accepted Offer – Reviewed Apr 14, 2013

Interview Details I interviewed with two branch managers (FCL) first. Next it was with the Sales and Service leader (DM) after taking an online evaluation. It was pretty straight forward. Many branch positions have a preselected candidate that is going to be hired after interviews are conducted. It would benefit candidates to try and network with the manager with the actual opening, so you can stand out in a crowd.

Interview Question – Pretty standard stuff. Nothing I hadn't heard dozens of times before.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – I was given an offer based on my experience and was told by my future boss that it was pretty much a take it or leave it offer.

Fraud Detection Analyst II at BB&T

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Wilson, NC (US) – Reviewed Mar 13, 2013

Interview Details Interview was very standard, basic questions such as how did you handle conflict productively in the past, how would you handle it if there was conflict with a team member. Describe your work ethic, Have you had attendance issues? I actually met with 3 people at 1 time but it was much more relaxed than you would think. The overall interview may have lasted 30 minutes.

Interview Question – This was an entry level position so there was nothing that would really catch you off guard, just be prepared to elaborate with your answers and not simply yes or no answers.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I did not negotiate, but I know people that have and were able to get 2-3% more for salary, it really depends on the job requirements and what you are bringing to the table.

Relationship Banker at BB&T

No Offer – Reviewed Mar 15, 2013

Interview Details To me, it was a pretty normal, structured interview. Of course there was the regular questions like "where would you like to be in five years", but other than that nothing abnormal. Years of interviewing at other financial institutions prepared me well for this interview. All I had to do was tell them what they wanted to hear.

Interview Question – Do you work well with women? That is all we have at this branch.   View Answer
