Interview Details On Campus Interview - Extremely hostile, all technical questions and nothing that studied fit. Not a generalist banking overview - mainly focused on leveraged finance. Bad communication both before and after actual interview.

Interview Details I received the interview through on campus recruiting. I received an email from an employee shortly after congratulating me, which seemed a bit strange. The interview was one on one with an associate who was extremely hard to relate to. Barely asked any behavioral or fit questions, all he seemed to care about was my technical knowledge. Interview only lasted about 20 minutes because I don't think I answered his technical questions well enough.

Interview Details BofA recruits at Dartmouth on campus as a target school so we had an informal meet and greet with appetizers at a local restaurant. Most of the employees seemed very friendly. The interview was very straight forward. They asked the basic questions of tell me about yourself, describe a team experience, describe a problem you encountered as a team, and asked general questions about the resume.

Interview Details The interview was great I really enjoyed talking to the people from B of A. They were all very kind excluding the time that people asked me very personal questions. They asked about my resume and they asked about my past work experience. They said they would get back to me but unfortunately they did not offer me a chance to continue to the final round of interviews

Interview Details Bank of America has target schools for investment banking recruiting - and my college was NOT one of them. They also have a non-target recruiting process, and to be included in it, you need to be referred by an employee. I went through this process and had a first round phone interview. Once accepting, I sat on this committee, so I know from experience that for first round non-target interviews, each interviewer speaks with 6-8 candidates, of which they can select one to advance to the Super Day. Super Day interviews are standard across Wall Street firms...you meet with 5-8 people (usually a 1-1, sometimes there are two interviewers at once) for ~ 3 hours. You get a small break somewhere during the process so that all six or so interviews are not in a row. After the interviews, all interviewers from a pod (a pod is a group of 5-8 candidates - all candidates in a pod meet with the same interviewers) get together around a table and choose their favorite candidates. Since hiring is by industry or product group, you will almost definitely be hired into one of the groups you met a representative from.
