Sales Associate at Express LLC

Accepted Offer – Reviewed May 06, 2013

Interview Details I saw that they were hiring via the Jobs section on my local malls website. I applied and two days later I received a call for an interview for the next day. I arrived to the interview & an employee told me to wait at the back of the store in the denim section to wait for the other candidates & the store manager. The other candidates arrived & a while later the manager came & took us to the food court where we got a booth. It was a group interview & it was kind of fun actually. Afterwards, she had us write down the names & numbers of friends & personal acquaintances for references.

A few days later, a coupe of my friends told me she had called. She actually called everyone the same day since they all told me about it. The day after she called my friends, I was offered the job.

Interview Question – If you could be on any TV show, what would you be on?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation. Minimum wage, take it or leave it.

E-Commerce at Express LLC

Accepted Offer – Interviewed on Columbus, OH (US) Feb 2011 – Reviewed May 06, 2013

Interview Details The interview process at Express is approximately a 4-hour process for the first round. Make sure you have a solid breakfast/lunch and some caffeine! You'll meet with many different folks, and at times it can be confusing, but just be yourself. And definitely wear business attire with a trendy edge.

Interview Question – Just be sure to know your stuff before you go to an interview - don't aim for a position above your head or you will feel like a fool.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – They have pay scales - so there's not much flexibility for compensation. And definitely no negotiation for vacation days (17 for years 1-5).

Sales Associate at Express LLC

Accepted Offer – Interviewed on Bensalem, PA (US) May 2013 – Reviewed May 04, 2013

Interview Details I applied online and they gave me a call back in two weeks. The interviewer asked questions such as: Why do you want to work at Express? What does customer service mean to you? What were your responsibilities at your previous job?

Do expect to talk highly about their brand as they want their employees to have a sense of pride of their company. Furthermore, emphasize how important customer service is to the business as that is their priority above anything else.

Interview Question – The questions weren't difficult but they will ask you if you have any questions for them so be prepared with questions you may want to ask them to seem you are interested in this job.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – There was not a negotiation phase. I was hired on the spot, pending references, and the pay is minimum wage.
