    Interview

I walked in as a customer and practically walked out with the job before applying just by speaking with the manager. She saw that I was truly interested and also possess the qualities that she is looking for in a new associate to make the environment better and comfortable for the customers.

    Interview

I was called in for an interview, then told to come back the next day because they made a mistake and one of the people that needed to be at the interview was not there. Spoke with the manager and she did not know if I was there for a customer service representative or a assistant manager. The advertisement stated full-time and I was told it would only be 20 to 25 hours a week.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Family Dollar Stores (Bell, FL (US)).

    Interview

There was no interview process. A group of 18 people were randomly selected in order to set up the entire store for 10 consecutive days. Only six people were chosen from the 18 that started to work in the store once it opened. So in total, references and curriculum vitae had no influence on wether you were hired or not, what did matter was who could lift 50 pounds or more.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Family Dollar Stores (Pittsburgh, PA (US)) in February 2015.

    Interview

You meet with a lot of people. District Manager, HR, LP, VP. All very thorough, open, honest, good conversations. I liked what they had to say about where the company was going and why they are successful here and what they are looking for to build on that success. The VP stated he is building the best team in retail and they are looking only for the most talented and hungry for success type people. Definitely a person you want to work for every day.
