Interview Details I went in one day to the store to do some shopping and asked if they were hiring at checkout. Luckily, I asked the manager and she initially told me no, but after she was done ringing up my stuff she gave me an application and told me to bring it back to her the next day. I brought in the application to her the next day and we set up a time for an interview the next week. I went in for the interview and it was something that I wasnt expecting. It was extremely laid back and conversational, which I really enjoyed. The manager and I just talked about our lives and some thing on my application and she told me about herself, the store, and what the position entailed. At the end of the interview, she told me I got the job!

Interview Details First met with them at a job fair, handed my resume and was told by a recruiter that they would invite me to their group interviews. About a week or two later, was contacted via email by a recruiter for a group interview. There were about 4-5 different people at the group interview that met with 2 recruiters and the VP of merchandising. Was asked 3 questions: what can you tell us about yourself, what was your biggest accomplishment, and what a mistake you made and what did you do to fix it? It went smoothly but it was a little awkward. I followed up with an email and got an answer about a week later that they cannot move forward with me

Interview Details I went to a open house it wasn't alot of people, first we had to wait outside and fill out an application then from there one of the associates took us upstairs and then in a group of 10 we talked to a general manager who was playing around and looked as if he was only interested in one guy.

Interview Details The interviewing process was done by group interview. There were around 5 other girls interviewing at the time. We were taken by the manager and an assistant manager to the mall's food court to conduct the interview, I suppose because there's really no backroom at Forever 21. We were given an availability sheet and asked to fill out the hours we could work. We were also informed that as part of our agreement with the company, we were not allowed to work at any other company that sold women's apparel.

For the interview itself, we were asked a question and then answered in a round robin fashion. The managers took notes on the backs of our availability sheets. The questions I can recall are: How would you react/deal with witnessing another employee stealing from the company? what is a popular spring trend? what motivates us? We were asked for questions at the end before we all left.

I received a call a day or two later. I was told what my starting salary would be. I tried to negotiate but the offer was firm. I accepted the offer, but declined a few days later when I received a better offer from another employer.

Reason for Declining – Received a better offer.

Interview Details I was referred by a friend, had a one on one interview with store manager at flagship location and was hired on the spot. For my promotion a few months later I had a two on one sit down interview with a store manager and district manager. Asked mostly behavioral questions and experience in hypothetical situations.

Negotiation Details – Take it or leave it. No negotiations. Company pay runs on a matrix and promotions are only percentage increase of at best 8% !

Interview Details I turned in a paper application to the manager. The manager asked me if I had previous experience in retail which I didn't. They still called me the next day for the interview. It was a group interview. Some were dressed very casual.

Interview Details The manager interviewing us wore Uggs, leggings, and a red pullover sweater. WTF. It was a group interview. First we were told to find a partner and tell about ourselves, Then tell about that person to the managers.

Interview Details I applied in person and as soon as I handed in my app I was set up for an interview. The day of the interview I got there and sat down with my interviewer. She was very nice and personable. The questions were pretty easy; she asked me to tell her about myself (I talked about school) and asked about my volunteer experience since I haven't worked before. She also asked why I wanted to work in the store and what I thought my responsibilities would be if I were hired. The whole process was about half an hour and she offered me a job after the interview. I have orientation on Monday

Negotiation Details – All Sales Associates start at minimum wage

Interview Details Group interview with about 5 other girls and they asked basic interview questions. Afterwards, I received a call within two days to come back in, complete paper work, and go through orientation.

Negotiation Details – No negotiation. $9/hr with no retail experience
