Great group of people at Genentech. Had interview. Consisted of meeting with a number of different departmental scientists who were all very smart. Seemed to me they had a specific person in mind from the beginning.

I applied online. The process took 2 days - interviewed at Genentech in September 2009.

    Interview Details

applied online + employee referral. Got phone interview in a few weeks. Interview was casual and not very detail revealing- very general information and not really specific about project to be involved in. Also asked about non-project related experience. Perceptions : leader was not in group of his/her expertise and was either reluctant to specify or not sure of project to be conducted, however, this also indicates alot of freedom and flexibility in the job.
