I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at George Weston in Jan 2024
Multiple rounds of interviews took several weeks of time. They made me really excited to work there, only to be rejected at the final round with no reason provided. The experience was very rigorous and disheartening for an intern role.
- Why do you want to work at George Weston?

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at George Weston in Jan 2024
Applied through my school. Got an e-mail from the company a week later. Had a preliminary phone interview that lasted 30 mins. Was asked basic questions about my previous work & project experience and why I would want to work at George Weston. 2 days later I was invited to an interview with the IT manager (45 mins) and HR manager (30 mins). The IT manager interview asked technical questions related to my experience on my resume. The HR interview asked standard interview questions. I did not move to the next stage, but supposedly there would be another interview after these. I was asked if my 4 month term could be extended to 8 months.
- Tell me in detail about your experiences in previous co-op work terms. Explain projects you worked on in school and work. What do you hope to gain from this experience? What's a little known fact about you? What's something you want me to know about you? The IT manager interview questions will be specific to your experiences in your resume. Be prepared to explain them.

It was completely negative experience. I lost days trying to get a job. I was never asked any legal question. I was called for the third interview in person just to be judged by my look. During the interviews I was asked lot of personal questions.
- Are you having your own condo or you living with roommate? Why you moved to Canada? What are you doing in free time?

The interview process is pretty simple. First is the behavioural round which is basically just HR questions. Secondly is a super day where it is mostly behavioural but theres an M&A case which is also fairly simple. Overall the process is pretty quick and the team is nice.
- Case study was an small M&A case
