I applied through other source and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Hyatt in November 2013.
Interview Details It was different from the standard process because the position was last minute added. There were many applications for the position but it needed to be filled sooner. I had 3 phone interviews with my direct supervisor, the director of the department and the HR corporate recruiter. I didn't have any in-person interviews. The questions were all very standard and the process was very welcoming.

I applied online and the process took 4 days - interviewed at Hyatt in October 2013.
Interview Details I got a call from the Director of Human Resources Wednesday October 9, 2013.He left a message. In his message he said "I was following up on the resume you submited, if you can please give me a call..." . About 10 minutes later I called him back and left a voicemail. I called back Thursday and Friday and left a message still no call back. I called back again on Monday, again no call back. Finally on Tuesday October 15, 2013 he finally answers. I tell him my name and that I recieved his voicemail about the open position and he says "I'm sorry we are going with other candidates for this position". This was the most rediculous thing that's ever happened during my job search process. I was completely baffled by the unprofessionalism.
Interviewed at Hyatt
Interview Details Very professional. Accommodating and of course, hospitable. People smiled when you met them. Interviewed with HR and DOS. Standard interview questions. I felt comfortable in the interview. I feel that is important. Brush up on the company's mission, values and products because questions like this or related to this were asked.

Interviewed at Hyatt
Interview Details Easy, and care free. Just have to take assessments and do your background paperwork online. Once everything is submitted, you don't have to do anything but wait for them to call you back.
Interview Question – All of the questions were easy, and all pertained to customer service. Just be truthful, but you want to make sure that what ever you have to answer, the customer is always right. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There is no negotiation phase. The rate is pretty much set, so you have to make up in your mind if it is enough for you to do the job.
I applied online and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Hyatt in July 2013.
Interview Details WORST INTERVIEW PROCESS I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! Made it through 2 interviews, now don't get me wrong, I'm not bitter I didn't get the job, I'm upset that the restaurant mgr went out of her way to tell me I had the job in the bag only to go home to a "thanks but no thanks" email. I never asked how I did, she just gushed. I'm absolutely mortified and will never step into another Hyatt again as a result.

Very Easy Interview
I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Hyatt in March 2013.
Interview Details I recently was interviewed for a position with this Company and Interviewed with the Head of the Hotel Operations. During this interview I was told that they would screen me for criminal record and driving record including contact of my references. I managed to get there interest after the interview and did receive a call back that they wanted to move forward and do my background by HireRight and as soon as I complete this they can call me back. I sent them my information so this can be done almost instantly and receive a confirmation shortly from HireRight that they have completed my background. Its now weeks into my background and still have received no call or email notfication letting me know the status. Keep in mind I have a clean record and great job history the only thing I had a problem with is my credit. I cannot contact this Hyatt location for status because they BLOCK out there phone number keeping it private I guess from their prospect employees. I have managed to reach HireRight to check the outcome of my background and was told that a Credit check was indeed requested from the company which I was never told during the initial interview or else I would have indicated this to the Hiring manager. I since now have move forward myself from this company and have received another job offer for similar position at the Marriott and start on Monday. I just wanted to let everyone know that is applying beware of the screening process of this Hotel.... They check Employment- All Dates and Salary, References, CREDIT CHECK (even though they dont mention this during the intital interview or isnt listed on their JOB Description) and Driving Record. Dont waste your time in applying for this Hotel not worth the troubles and stress, They should update their JOB descriptions indicating that you must have Perfect or Good Credit to even be Considered atleast this way you dont wasted our time and your Company Time!!!
Interview Question – Nothing was hard about the Interview very easy questions. They just need to be more open and honest with their requirements to get the job and not waste someone eleses time. Answer Question
