Great interview.... weird hiring process. It seemed like a great interview, and I got an offer the very next day, but the offer was only specific as to the money. The benefits portion was vague and listed a bunch of different things along with a note saying "this is not a guarantee that these are your benefits, this is just some things we offer." Since I'm going to have to give up some incredible healthcare insurance, I had questions about what exactly that means. When I got someone on the phone to ask those questions, they said they'd get back to me by the end of the next day, but then they never spoke to me again - stopped returning my calls, emails, etc. The only other thing that happened during that call was that the TCS man asked if I had kids or planned on it - not technically legal to ask about - and I mentioned that I did not and could not. He asked what I meant, and I mentioned previously having cancer. The offer package also had asked me to sign a letter saying I have a disability including cancer and diabetes (diabetes caused by the cancer treatments) - both in remission, however, and not interfering with my performance. So, I'm not sure if they decided that having a disability (so labelled by them, on their paperwork) meant they changed their mind about the offer, but it doesn't seem any more unlikely than changing their minds because I asked about the benefits... either way, it definitely has damaged their reputation in my eyes, unfortunately.

    Interview Questions
    • They were surprised that my translation of a bunch of legal documents only matched 70% with the translation they received from the client - anyone doing translations knows that's going to happen - but their resolution was to run it through google translator. For legal documents! I had to explain to them why you don't do that, and why my translations were accurate. Very surprising.   Answer Question

Miserable. I asked questions about the offer, and I guess that was a bad thing, because they never spoke to me again.

    3 rounds of interview
    Technical round
    Managerial round
    HR round

The interview process was so smooth.
I have received a mail from one of their HRs about an opening. I have sent my resume to the HR and received a confirmation mail from him that the profile got shortlisted and he has asked me to attend face to face interview and has communicated to me the interview time and venue after consulting with me about my freetime.

I reached the venue on time and everything has gone super smooth.

Tech round has happened with 2 technical persons in the panel.
I have cleared that round and was asked to wait for the Managerial round.

Managerial round is just to know about your thought process and your real time experience.
Manager was so dignified and he has spoken so smoothly and also has great patience to hear out what we say.

The Manager has signed on a paper on the spot, letting me know of my success in the interview and has asked to go meet HR for package negotiation.

HR round has also happened the same day and the package was satisfactory.

The entire process above was completed in a matter of 5 hours.
