Interview Details My friend who worked there called me and said I had an interview without me ever even meeting the manager!
I met her, she loved me instantly and called up my references almost immediately after the interview had taken place. A day later I received a phone call to say I had gotten the job! I started about a week after said phone call.
She gave me a questionnaire sheet, but instead of me filling them out with my own knowledge, she literally gave me the answer booklet. Took about an hour to fill it all out even with the answers. Fairly unprofessional to say the least, but hey, I needed the money.

Interview Question – I was caught off guard about the questions regarding how to recognize a fake bill, and ladder safety. I had never learned anything about either of those things.
Other than that they were extremely basic. i.e. Why do you want to work here? Name a situation where you had to use team work to solve a problem, etc.

Negotiation Details – I was offered the student minimum. Absolutely zero negotiation.

No Offer – Reviewed Apr 01, 2013

Interview Details I applied to 58 tim hortons, 5 called me back. 2 interviews that didnt lead to a job.

Those 2 interviews mainly consisted of situational based questions. Got the interview calls less than a week after applying.

Got an interview with another tims. They only asked me my availability and if i worked in food service before(i havent). Interview lasted a minute, got a call a couple of hours later asking if i would like the job. I accepted. Got 2 other tim hortons interviews after I accepted that offer, so i didnt go to those.

Interview Question – What can you offer us that they (their current workers) cant?
When was a situation when you went above and beyond your expectations?
When were you put in a difficult situation and how did you react?

Interview Details I applied online and got a call to come in for an interview about 3 days later. The interview was very relaxed. The manager went over store policy, uniforms, etc and asked why I wanted to work for Tim Horton's. He stressed MANY times that the store was the busiest in the area during mornings and that it's high-stress. I said I was okay with that and a quick learner. We talked for maybe 30 minutes and then scheduled a second interview for the next day.

Next day I walked in and talked with a different manager. She said that since I had no experience with quick service food then I might have trouble catching on. She asked what I went to college for and why I wanted to work for Tim Horton's. It's hard not to shout "because I need money and the economy sucks!" but I insisted I wanted something part-time so I could pursue a Master's Degree. After talking for about 20 minutes we scheduled orientation and she took my sizes for uniform.

Negotiation Details – There wasn't really a negotiation... they talked about how they paid employees and how being late, missing work days, etc affected your pay for the week. We didn't talk base salary (yet) but surely we will during orientation.

Interview Details I had no previous experience working in customer service but a friend offered to give me a referral. I sent in my application form + resume and received a call after a few days to come in for an interview.

Interview Details It is a very easy interview. The manager just try to confirm how long you gonna stay here, as they don't want to waste their time on training if you would only work there for less than half year.

Interview Details Applied online for the position. Got a call regarding an interview. Arrived early but manager took over an hour after appointed time to get to me. I was handed a form that I was supposed to have been given before regarding past employers, references, etc.

Mostly customer service questions. Fairly easy to answer. However, the manager answered 2-3 personal calls during the interview, cutting off my reply several times.

Interview Question – Give me an example of a time you showed exceptional customer service.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Did not negotiate, the turnover rate is quite high and did not think they would hire me if I did.
