Former Employee - Benefits Supervisor in Costa Mesa, CA (US)

I worked at Auto Club of Southern California full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Outside reputation of Auto Club is seen as positive and applicants may be given impression that internal management has it together. Most managers seem competent and professional.

    Cons

Senior Management unwilling to replace dis functional managers even when internal complaints are made. They value expertise over management skills with staff. HR is aware but can't do anything about it. Don't be fooled by opportunities. Ask how much turnover has occurred in position over last five to seven years to know whether problem exists with current manager or not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your Supervisors when they bring up concerns about the way Managers treat their employees and vendors. If you have a problem manager in any of your departments, get rid of them before you have a hostile environment lawsuit on your hands.
