I have been working at Barclays Capital full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - work life balance: flexible working hours
    - work load is not bad

    Cons

    - bad management, no continuity on policy and strategy, always changing, wast of money and resources
    - bad morale, always lay off people every year
    - bad retention strategy - management don't care about talent people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - cut the crap: no hopper program, no BS values, no transform program, just focus on business
    - focus on how to earn more business, not how to cut more people
    - pay more attention to talent: what they need, why they are not happy
    - focus on continuity of plan: if you decide something, don't give up after couple of years

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
