I have been working at Brink's, Incorporated full-time (more than 5 years)

This is not a career company unless you don't have much of an opportunity otherwise. It pays the bills, it's a decent job, lots of employees have provided for their families for a large part of their lives thanks to the jobs here.
Decent pay, especially for the Vault people whom aren't in danger like the drivers/guards.
    Good people

However, the employees put up with a lot of B.S. A lot of it comes down to not knowing what it's like to work in someone else's shoes. This applies to drivers/guards to management and vice versa.
There's a strict chain of command and everything trickles down. So when district management is concerned with bonuses, "the numbers", keeping their own jobs and THEN the employees, you will always have an imbalance. Many people are overworked and underpaid while getting pushed and pressured by supervisors, who are pushed by management, who are pushed by regional managers, who are pushed by corporate who are pushed by investors. It's a example of what is arguably wrong with the entire system/nation a la 2007-2010 recession.
Firings happen too often because the company is always eager to prove a point.
    Miscommunication comes often.
You never know your time off so it is difficult to plan anything outside of work.
Ned won't stop talking to you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be afraid to challenge your superiors for something that will benefit the employees. The people risking their lives every day allow you to get those bonuses and allow you to use your stats on your resumes. Listen to them, ask them questions, and also bring employees into your world. Lots of employees are idiots too and they need to know what you go through so they can understand that your job isn't easy either.
Quit trying to get people to "buy into the system" the system does not benefit anyone except for corporate managers. Relate more to the employees and they will respond.
