I have been working at Brink's, IncorporatedPros
Any employer offers the same generic pro's Brinks does, except being able to carry a firearm and look like a wanna-be policeman.Cons
To many to list and most are to ignorant to consider the warnings and negatives others have honestly described here.
Number one Con- Driver and Guards have been murdered because of this industries lacking standards, commitment, and professionalism.
This company is vile. Where else can an entry level employee make near poverty level pay and all while risking being killed everyday? .... Only in the Cash Transportation Industry.
On top of bad pay you also receive horrible schedules 14-16 hour days every week with no overtime, atm techs have to be available 24/7 to do emergency deposits but don't make on call pay, disgusting 15-25 cent yearly raises, relaxed and meager training standards, excessive risk because we carry things other kill for, and the risk increases ten fold during the holidays when the bad guys know we carry more of the things they like to kill for, professionalism and pay is lacking so badly...many people who work in the branch with you will probably be the ones helping the bad guys rob you when you make deliveries (SAD BUT A FACT GROUNDED IN TRUTH) by sending text's or calls to them to let them know that you have arrived-happened at my branch, do not allow the use of shotguns, do not allow the use of three or four man crews, because safety and security mean nothing to Brinks budget books.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Bad guys doing your research on this company. Be advised the money is insured and us poor guards/ drivers are not trained for combat or to fight you. Take the money but let us keep our lives. We like you, are underpaid and appreciated in this cruddy economy; in addition, we have more in common with you than the deplorable men who run these companies.
Management, especially those who have ownership in Brinks, how can you continue to ignore the issues other have brought up here. People have died in vain thanks to your heartless business practices.
I advise those considering working here to seriously look elsewhere. I advise families to never allow their children to work for any of these companies, because if they are killed in this line of work it will be in vain and over nothing.Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEO
