    Pros

    Although I work in technology and my day is filled with servers and hardware…I work at a retail company! I love that I’m reminded on a daily basis that I work around creative, fun, and energetic talent. We’re here at Macy’s to making your shopping experience A+. The people are fabulous and I love my work family. Psst…the shopping discount and half day summer Friday’s don’t hurt either.

    Cons

    I wouldn’t call it a “con”, but we’re busy bees! Trying to ensure we’re the most competitive employer and best customer experience, all our teams are constantly working on this initiative. Nobody is ruling with an iron fist…we just love what we do…so we keep busy doing it!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue to have open door policies and talk to the people. I enjoy seeing upper management walking around and having coffee talk with folks. Management seems to recognize; they all started somewhere too! Humility is a tremendous character trait.
