    I have been working at Movado Group

    Pros

    Work/life balance is decent. Not many people work late hours - most leave at 5 or 5:30, even top management.
    Decent employee discount.
    Very casual dress code.
    Summer Fridays.

    Cons

    Benefits are very expensive.
    Salaries are below average for Bergen County.
    "Good old boy" network. It's not what you know, it's who you know.
    Too many closed door meetings.
    HR management is terrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop all the closed door meetings - after all the layoffs it just makes employees more paranoid.
    Make benefits package more competitive.
    Improve communication between CEO and President to rank and file. Eliminate the class system.
