I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The bank has a warm environment, which champions diversity. Whether that be your ethnicity or sexuality or a multitude of other qualities. My personal experience found that the work hours were very flexible which suited me as I was a student at the time.

    Cons

I enjoy a varied workload which challenges me and stretches my capability. I found my role grew very monotonous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A suggestion would be to do cross-departmental switching of roles every year/two years to give a much more rounded skill base of employees. A talent management scheme for employees who are seen as rising stars would be beneficial for those who achieve great yearly performance, giving them the prospect of promotion.
