I worked at Salvation Army part-time (more than 3 years)

It was wonderful being a support for the clients and assisting them, being a presence, being the hands of feet of Jesus and answering the call to pray with people when they wanted prayers. such a blessing.

Clients didn't always have privacy as there were no facilities for private conversations and were not treated ethically.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All officers /management/hierarchy need to face the fact that not all personnel or volunteers are not listened to, heard or encouraged which leads to a lot of hurt people. All clients need to be heard and treated ethically. The Salvation Army is not a cult. They are a world wide Christian organisation who need to look at the way people within the organisation treat each other. When people don't treat other's with respect, that disrespect needs to be looked at and reviewed and the people involved brought to account.

    Negative Outlook
