Job Duties:
We are seeking a skilled Lighting Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting lighting audits, developing lighting, electrical, and solar projects, and proficiently interpreting blueprints. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of lighting technologies, energy efficiency standards, and sustainable design practices.
Essential Functions:
1. Conduct lighting audits for various facilities to assess energy usage, lighting quality, and efficiency.
2. Develop comprehensive lighting, electrical, and solar projects tailored to client needs, considering factors such as budget, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements.
3. Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, to ensure project requirements are met.
4. Utilize software tools to analyze lighting designs, energy consumption, and financial projections.
5. Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and technical documentation.
6. Stay updated with industry trends, codes, standards, and emerging technologies related to lighting, electrical, and solar systems.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to lighting, electrical, and solar systems.
10. Assist in the development and review of construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in lighting design, electrical engineering, or related fields.
3. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
6. Knowledge of energy codes, building regulations, and industry standards.
7. Experience in sustainable design practices and renewable energy technologies.
8. Certification as a Lighting Certified Professional (LC), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or similar credentials are a plus.
9. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position is mostly sedentary and requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, filing cabinets etc. It will require ability to open cabinets, bend, and lift files as necessary.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
