Please note that this is a shift-based role. You will work a 4-on-4-off pattern (4 days of work, followed by 4 days off to rest and restore). Shifts are 12 hours in length, rotating between 7am-7pm and 12pm-12am. The right candidate is comfortable with this kind of schedule and the necessary travel to and from our North Woolwich depot (London E16).
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Fleet & Warehouse Associate (Nights) to join our team. The Fleet & Warehouse Associate will be a key part of our high-functioning Live Operations team and will be responsible for the handling and sortation of our parcels, as well as general depot maintenance, as well as being responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of our all electric vehicle fleet, ensuring that our vehicles are safe, reliable, and always ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a some technical background in electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure vehicles are fully charged ready for the daily routes
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on our all electric vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in electric vehicles
- Coordinate with internal and external service providers for specialised maintenance and repairs
- Monitor charging station performance and address issues promptly
- Conduct thorough pre and post vehicle inspections to identify any damages or issues
- Log and report any damages, accidents, or safety concerns to the Fleet Manager and wider fleet team promptly
- Ensure the interior and exterior of all vehicles are clean and well-maintained
- Implement a regular vehicle cleaning schedule to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and inspections
- Provide recommendations for cost-effective improvement
- Manual handling and sorting of parcels
- Complying with all procedures, rules and regulations to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Completing daily reports
Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience in maintaining electric vehicles is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of electric vehicle systems, including batteries and charging systems
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication skills
- Holds a valid drivers licence
