    Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Residential Services/Environmental Services Assistants. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient provision of cleaning and food services, creating a safe, welcoming, and person-centered environment for our residents.

    As a Residential Services/Environmental Services Assistant, you will be an integral part of our caring team.

    Key Responsibilities

    Food Services:

    • Maintain Food Safety Records.
    • Set up kitchen and dining room for meal service.
    • Prepare and serve meals to residents.
    • Hand out and collect meal trays.
    • Make and distribute tea/coffee and fluids to residents.
    • Collect and wash fluid jugs and dishes used during meal service.
    • Complete orders, cook/chill meals, and manage miscellaneous food supplies.

    Cleaning Services:

    • Mop floors as required.
    • Vacuum according to the cleaning schedule.
    • Collect and dispose of rubbish.
    • Clean lockers and over bed tables in resident rooms.
    • Clean bathrooms and toilets as needed.
    • Spot clean and dust surfaces.
    • Clean windows in common areas.
    • Clean resident rooms and common areas according to the cleaning schedule.
    • Launder resident clothing.

    Skills and experience

    • Follow Basic Food Safety Practices (HLTFSE001)
    • Demonstrated person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff
    • Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred, but is not essential

    • Essential : Have you successfully attainted HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices? (Please ensure you attach your certificate as part of your application).
    • Essential : Please detail your availability - are you able to work mornings/afternoons, weekends, rotating rosters, shift preferences etc
    • Essential : Tell me what each of the following values mean to you and how you demonstrate each value at work? Collaboration, Accountability, Innovation, Respect and Compassion.
    • Essential : Have you received three doses of a COVID19 vaccine? If no, please provide further detail regarding doses received, booking dates and/or other relevant information.
    • Essential : The successful candidate must hold, or be prepared to undergo, a NDIS screening check. Please advise if you currently hold an NDIS screening check?

    The minimum salary is $27.88 and the max salary is $27.88.
