Come work at AppDynamics
At AppDynamics, we love fast. We especially love fast websites – who doesn’t? – and we love working with hundreds of customers around the world to help them speed up their apps.
If you’re a speed junkie like us – someone who loves the thrill of a fast-paced work environment, but also knows how to kick back and relax with co-workers once in a while – then you might be in luck. Because we’re growing, fast.
We're a fast-growing, pre-IPO company, and people love working here. It's exciting to work somewhere that you make a difference every day.
At AppDynamics you’ll get to work with some of the leading talents in the application space from top-notch schools like Berkeley, Caltech, Cornell, MIT, Stanford, Waterloo and more.

At AppDynamics we believe in openness. Our leadership is friendly and approachable - we'd say they have an open door policy, but, well, they don't actually have doors.
We’re headquartered right in the heart of San Francisco’s SOMA district. Great restaurants and great bars are only a few steps away.

I have been working at AppDynamics full-time (less than an year)Pros
Rock solid product offerings
Top notch co-workers
You get to move the needle, for real
Very fast paced
Opportunity is presented to many people, very frequently.
I work in the talent acquisition department. Contrary to other reviews, I began as a contractor, I filled the hard positions and I received and accepted a full time position. Look, recruiting is tough in this market period. Working for a company that has an appetite for the best in breed will be tougher than average. We all know this and accept the challenge. *This is not a secret*Cons
Top notch co-workers = you must deliver comparably. Hiring managers don't have time to hand hold.
You get to move the needle = So, you need to move the needle... All the time.
The group is run similar to a sales group, precise productivity speaks more than anything.
Work/life balance can get out of line at times.
Again - *these things are not a secret*RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
Getting an Interview
Getting an Interview
- Application Details
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks – interviewed at AppDynamics.Interview Details
Had initial interview with recruiter, which progressed to an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager, then had a member of their technical team interview me. Once I passed this hurdle, I then met the hiring manager who told me I will hear from them next week about next steps.
I never heard back. Not only did I not hear back, I never received any responses to inquiries re: the status of the position, which incidentally was reposted about a month after I originally interviewed.
I totally understand if a candidate is not a fit for the position, but have the common decency to let an applicant know one way or another.
Going dark on an applicant, is totally unprofessional and reflects extremely poorly on the company as a whole, no matter how wonderful they believe they are.
They may have a high Net Promoter Score from their customers.. good for them.Interview Questions

Applications are taking over the world. Everything you do these days is handled by an application, from buying Superbowl tickets to paying for dinner. At AppDynamics, we build software that helps make these applications go faster. If you join us (and we hope you will) you’ll be involved with innovation every day, working on a product that affects millions of people – from the ops teams that are in charge of the applications to the people that use them.
