I have been working at Hallmark full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Open office environment after the current restructure. The name sells somehow with

clients who need low quality cheap work.

    Cons

Unprofessional work culture, highly bureacracy, All policies, including diversity program

where it stated indirect discrimination practice appear fair in form but are discriminatory in

outcome, diversity is a joke. Senior Managers have tunnel visions, are mainly

inexperienced, like to micromanage and would not knowledge share much less work

catch ups and team building. There's no hope besides devaluing the brand or going into

distributorships with stronger brands. Performance appraisal is an eye wash, work is

never rewarded. Using Excel (which include manual counting cells and columns) to

manage inventory of a global company with a net worth of USD 4 billion. Stone aged JDE

system (85-87 version) to run a 21st century business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start aligning with other departments (S&OP)
Simplify your system (or upgrade to SAP)
Practice what you preach - diveristy program
Share knowledge / processes / come out of the silo
Hire experience Managers from other fields/Industry

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Interview Details

I applied online and the next day I got a email telling me I could set up an interview. A week later I got a call it lasted like 10 minutes. She just asked basic stuff like why would I be good for this job. She asked me to describe the job I'm applying for and asked my availability. It was pretty easy. Then she told me I would receive a call within ten days if I got the job or an email if I didn't.
