Current Employee - Accounting Coordinator in New York, NY (US)

I have been working at ID Media Worldwide full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Great hours 9-5 pm (the hour makes a difference)
    - From what I can remember, generous vacation/PTO days. First year, it was something like 21 days total. Entire Christmas break off (2 weeks, more or less) paid.
    - They have their own coffee shop on premises.

    Cons

    - Although they had stated during interview that I would have to work no overtime, my manager would often tell me to stay behind 30 min-1 hour to just sit there and do nothing because "it looks good", while quite literally just surfing the Internet.
    - There were entirely way too many meetings about nothing.
    - Management required weekly department meetings where we had to bring up a problem, even if we didn't have a current problem going on. I thought it was quite ridiculous to have to invent something out of nowhere.

    Interview Details

I didn't get the job but the entire interview process was first class. The recruiter was very responsive which was great seeing as most other places you apply and never hear back. Between our phone call and meeting him in person he did a great job of explaining the position and making me feel the positive atmosphere the office provided. I then interviewed with a few other staff members who provided great insight and were able to answer all of my questions. I had a great experience and would definitely be interested in future positions at ID Media and hopefully having the opportunity to come back and interview again
