Former Employee - Vacation Advisor in Miami, FL (US)

I worked at Interval International full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The call center : Comfortable environment w/ coworkers
Corporate offices: more structured but very warm place to work

    Cons

Finances are determined by an "incentive" (commission) basis, which is not guaranteed; positional advancement is difficult, based on a clique system

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promotions and advancements should be based on true knowledge, experiences, and expertise rather than being promoted based on personal relationships and biases

I applied online - interviewed at Interval International.

    Interview Details

Online application is pre-required, drug testing, and 2 subsequent interviews followed.
Hiring is usually done in groups, filling several positions within departments, rather than individuals.
    Seasonal hiring is done yearly.
Obtaining position is quite easy, knowing that "commission" is contingent on overall success financially.
