Awesome team members but management is inept.

I have been working at Jefferies & Company full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Many of my colleagues are spot on some of the best in the business, and I've learned some significant life lessons from them. The compensation is spot on given the job but the clawback on bonuses is kind of bullsh!t

    Cons

There are many more in management that seem to have the skill set of a toddler and many times they sound like a toddler when they don't get their way. There really isn't a path for personal or professional growth, it's as if they use you for two years and toss you to the curb like this weeks recycling.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your employees and understand that we're humans with needs and emotions, and even some ethics once in awhile. Throwing us a bone once in awhile doesn't make us feel good; quite the opposite though. Of course management is day to day with their heads in the clouds and seemingly growing the ranks of management without growing your base level of employees.

    Interview Details

Applied through campus recruiting and heard back a few weeks later by email. Heard by email on a Tuesday about the interview that Friday so there wasn't too much time to prepare. The interview process was very basic and very organized. Mostly fit questions were asked. I was not asked any technical questions. Questions relating my schoolwork to the job description.
