    Former Employee - Associate Director

I worked at Macquarie Group full-time

Had many opportunities to develop career: increase in seniority, breadth and depth of business knowledge, good people, generally good managment and good remuneration (mainly pre-2008)

Long hours, became more bureaucratic with size. Lost some entrepreneurial spirit after 2008. Pay freeze and no bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Return to an entrepreneurial culture rather than a cost saving culture. "Savings" through offshoring result in a lower level of service due to less knowledge, less thinking due to following scripts and large processing queues.
