    I applied through a staffing agency – interviewed at Mattel in May 2014.

    Interview

    Two interviews with recruiter, the first via Skype and the second was in person. This resulted in a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager and HR representative at Melbourne HQ. The discussion was straightforward and not too challenging.

    It did take a while to find out that I was unsuccessful (even though the recruiter mentioned I was one of three). I found out that none of the three candidates made it through when I saw the job re-advertised. After seeing the ad, I called the recruiter and reading between the lines, they might not have understood the brief. I think they eventually found the right person after a month.

    The feedback I received was that I was too "visionary" for the role.

    Interview Questions

    • Nothing too difficult but focused largely on managing expectations of stakeholders. The role was within the Customer Marketing team which dealt largely with Sales.   Answer Question
