Enterprise Software Product Leader Joins ScrollMotion as Chief Product Officer

Industry veteran Per Brondum Jakobsen to lead product strategy and development at ScrollMotion, an innovator in interactive enterprise applications for tablets

New York, NY— May 6, 2013 ScrollMotion, enablers of interactive enterprise applications for tablets, today announced the appointment of Per Brondum Jakobsen as Chief Product Officer (CPO). Jakobsen brings 24 years of experience in technology and in enterprise software product strategy, development and management. Jakobsen has led the development of successful solutions at Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Oracle, and other enterprise software companies. At ScrollMotion, Jakobsen will drive further innovation into the ScrollMotion Enterprise Platform® (SEP), a groundbreaking end-to-end solution for building applications on the Apple iPad and other tablets. With SEP, customers can create engaging applications, distribute the apps in real-time, and measure their use; all without the need for advanced programming skills.

Jakobsen knows how to drive innovation. As Vice President of Product Strategy at Salesforce.com, he spearheaded the team responsible for designing and launching the Financial Services CRM vertical, now a $450 million business. At Oracle, he drove the product direction and release for Developer/2000, a $4 billion revenue generator with 10 million users worldwide.

ScrollMotion Appoints Executive Dean Furbush as Interim CEO

Former FreshDirect CEO and Nasdaq Executive to Lead ScrollMotion

New York, New York – December 13, 2012 – ScrollMotion, creators of the most effective and engaging enterprise software for tablets, today announced the appointment of Dean Furbush as the company’s new CEO. Furbush holds a long track record in business, technology and helping innovative organizations scale through transformational growth stages. After two successful leadership roles first as the CEO of e-commerce pioneer, FreshDirect, and prior to that Chief Economist and EVP of Nasdaq Transaction Services where he was responsible for its stock-trading business, Furbush spent the last five years as President of College Summit, a non-profit focused on increasing college enrollment in low-income communities.

Furbush replaces co-founder John Lema who had served as the company’s CEO since ScrollMotion’s inception in April 2008. During that period, Lema and co-founder Josh Koppel have grown the company to 120 employees and gained several Fortune 500 businesses as customers. Lema will continue to serve on ScrollMotion's Board of Directors and as an advisor.

As part of its growth planning, ScrollMotion has also realigned itself to increase focus on its delivery of enterprise software for tablets, and to work with partners who will deliver some of ScrollMotion’s former internal services. This reorganization entailed a 20% reduction in workforce, a move intended to support the long-term growth of the company.
 

The company and Board thank John Lema for his leadership over the past four years, and ongoing support of a vision he helped establish. Says Lema “I was determined to bring ScrollMotion through the Wild West of mobile and tablet applications, and it has been a thrilling journey. ScrollMotion is now poised to enter a new expansionary phase as our company grows at rates beyond what Josh and I imagined.
