I have been working at Systemax full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very professional, knowledgeable co-workers, who are dedicated to contributing to the success of an incredibly diverse company. There are many long term employees of 10, 20 years. Compensation and perks are great! Comprehensive Medical insurance coverage is offered and can included dental and eye coverage, if desired. Discounts are provided for non-smokers. 401k provides a generous employer "match". On-site gym, business casual dress code, Friday "jeans" and welcoming atmosphere add to the positive working environment. Innovative technology and proprietary software add to a positive work experience. Good location, headquartered on the North Shore of Long Island. Close to all.

    Cons

Medical Insurance Benefits cost (premiums and out of pocket) is higher than expected, but there are more than 2 choices to choose from and most doctors are included in the "in-network" less expensive plan. Additionally, there is a bare-bones "afordable care act" plan that provides the least expensive option. I would not call any of these plans "Cadillac" plans, as out of pocket expenses can be as high as deductible each year, in addition to the premium. A 61 day waiting period is long - and depending when you begin employment can be 2 months and 3 weeks!

    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at Systemax.

    Interview Details

Hiring process started via a headhunter agency.
Upon meeting the hiring manager, it was the most unprofessional and by far the easiest interview throughout my whole career. The interviewer didn't even really asked anything but just talked about the company (trying really hard to sell it).
The management made an agreement with the Hungarian government to fill up 500 heads in the new Budapest SSC in a certain timeframe, in exchange for supporting their business, hence they hired anyone without a real interview process.
If you are invited for a personal interview, most likely you already got the job - unless this 500 heads are already there. But since fluctuation is crazy (more than 50%), they just can't fill up this 500 since people are leaving every day due to poor management.

I negotiated my salary via the recruiter agency. I told them what salary I would like to work for and they negotiated it for me.
