At Methodist, nurses develop their skills through a wide range of educational programs, collaborate with physicians to provide the best care and build upon a world-class reputation for quality — all while working in an environment where minds are sharpened and opinions really do matter.

From Magnet-recognition at The Methodist Hospital and Pathway to Excellence™ designations for Methodist Sugar Land, Methodist Willowbrook and San Jacinto Methodist Hospitals, to HealthGrades® distinctions at Methodist Willowbrook and San Jacinto Methodist Hospitals, our facilities allow nurses to practice in superior settings with low nurse-to-patient ratios, high safety standards and access to unparalleled support.

Our diverse group of nursing colleagues demonstrates a strong commitment to practicing excellence every day. It is delivered through our Relationship-Centered Patient Care Model. It is expressed through our empowering Shared Governance structure. And it is showcased system-wide through the quality outcomes achieved by our entire team — a group of dedicated health care professionals that you will come to trust like family.

At Methodist, nurses truly have a voice, and their opinions have never counted more. Our Shared Governance professional practice model promotes shared decision making in the clinical and management aspects of practice and also serves as the vehicle by which clinicians practice autonomously and collaboratively.
