    Pros

Good compensation for the task at hand as well as benefits and sometimes hours. AT&T clearly listens to the share holders and will focus on the trends that is going to drive revenue for the current quarter you're in. A lot of programs to enroll into and get extra training to improve skillset.

    Cons

Too much change and the hypocrisy that is big business. Seems like there is a lot of things that go on behind close doors that isn't fully and accurately communicated to the individual discussed about.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stand behind your people. Especially the high performers. For a lot of the company values and lessons learned over my time with the company, there was a lot that they didn't follow through with themselves.

    Pros

Paid training, Not a desk job, good pay, willing to work with changes schedule, If you need hours they have them, benefits are amazing with 401k and insurance paid.

    Cons

Somewhat dangerous, working outside most of the day, sometimes long drives to different locations, long hours, sometimes not well prepared for all jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a partner system in place, it would made jobs faster and easier. A little more pay for beginners, safer job equipment. Better management skills.

    Cons

Deadline Environment, Warehouse setting; not a profit center.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Articles written describing the "squeezing of the middle class" ring true here as Corporate Boards need to show (net) income growth and rely heavily on expense reduction as competition squeezes margins. Individual workloads grow commensurately as head counts are reduced. Marketing needs to to address it's the impact on Bill Production: namely, insert, onsert, and bill format changes.

    Pros

The work is challenging, with great perks, frequent new toys, and competitive pay. This is not the 'phone company' any longer. There are strong initiatives to change the internal culture, prepare the workforce for the future and advance the brand. They are committed to providing a great customer experience and leading the industry in innovation.

    Cons

In my experience corporate leadership is solid but local leadership can sometimes be too focused on fire drills. Performance is often determined with a 'what have you done for me lately?' attitude because there is such a strong focus on delivering numbers every quarter, month, week, day and even by the hour. Retail hours can always be tough and here is the same. Working nearly every weekend with 11-13 hour days throughout the week. And if you're short staffed (which is most of the time), as an RSM you are responsible to deliver results and pick up the slack. I work in a strong performing and competitive region and this often causes challenges with promotion when you are no willing to relocate.
