I worked at AT&T Wireless full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Full time employees work a lot of hours, but the compensation is great! You can also work your way up the ladder if you are a great salesman! Training is also fun, because it's paid and you meet some really great people....also you can't beat the employee phone plan and the insurance is good too!!
Cons – Work lots of hours, high expectations in sales, and you are on your feet for a while....
Advice to Senior Management – Higher cooler people! Get rid of or promote store manager that have not been a salesman in the last 4 or 5 years, they are too out of touch with reality.

I have been working at AT&T Wireless full-time for more than a year
Pros – Friendly people, a lot of learn about the industry, growing industry with good prospects, pays well especially if you are a contractor and got your own firm. hint hint
Cons – Not well organized, a lot of bias work just to meet HQ targets. no proper introduction of new employees - you were supposed to find out everything on your own, management can be silly at times where they limit your tasks and expect you to take initiatives on your own
Advice to Senior Management – Focus more on what is relevant
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at AT&T Wireless as a contractor for more than a year
Pros – Employees (including contractors) do get to potentially work with new or existing technologies and can thus definitely apply and/or expand skills in these technologies. Integration with contractors is relatively seamless (with a few exceptions) and there isn't much bureaucracy regarding the handling of outside contracts.
Cons – Very political. Management tends to prefer favorites and thus can be very resistant to outside suggestions for change (improvements/efficiencies) to existing processes or new technologies. Groups are not always in sync with each other regarding the overall mission. And when combined with favoritism and politics, this can lead to intra-group conflicts and breakdowns in group communication. This can ultimately lead to employee dissatisfaction if the employee happens to be on the "losing side".
Advice to Senior Management – Be more open to outside ideas and processes from employees/contractors/consultants with previous experience outside of AT&T Wireless. Do not always treat these outside ideas/processes as a "threat" to the existing processes. Groups should be arranged so that they work together rather than against each other.
