Pros – - great salary one of the best in industry...
- great benefits, definitely above standard...free mobile, holiday contribution, free company car (based on Hay levels), retirement plan, ..just few to mention
- great office location with above standard service for employees in Prague, Czech rep.
- great products and good brand recognition around the world, looking great on your CV

Cons – - politics and fights between departments regarding strategies, resources, which are not based on real needs or external conditions but fights based on bad personal relationships among Top management
- big difference in culture and behavior between native English speaking employees and Czech speaking employees which then brings so many confusing situations
- in Sales department it was lots of yelling and mismanagement, lots of Senior Managers hired with no people management skills

Advice to Senior Management – - please make a educational plan for middle management not just employees (including VP level) in order to improve - management of their own people
- please create a program in order to get western and eastern employees together and make cooperation more effective

Cons – - by far the worst politics in a company that I have ever seen. inter-departmental fights, land grabbing, territorial struggles, just to name a few
- monetization takes priority
- disorganize
- the people...

Cons – Disconnect between top management and personnel - primarily cultural (American vs Europe), too many incompetent hires in top mgmt mean too frequent changes in strategy

Pros – free lunch, nice location, neat ideas, smart people

Cons – politics galore, self interest running wild, not a lot of fun making money off search in a toolbar that is hard to get rid of. Not real rewarding to fight games in the office and with HQ all the time

Advice to Senior Management – Cut down the barriers and build packages and exits for people that don't encourage just quick wins, find new ways to make money other than toolbars users can't get rid of, hire some real management that cares

Excellent people - Will remain in contact with numerous former employees
Good brand recognition - potential customers know about AVG. Above average technology. Has a good/great product.

Cons – With the company recently becoming public, only corporate got to take advantage, no rewards for the employees.
Employees worried about the daily phone calls then building relationships with customers and long term success.
Little to none career advancement
High turnover rate and managers from the UK/Czech lack the knowledge of the US market

Advice to Senior Management – The product has excellent brand recognition, decide whether you want to give the product away or focus on the business market.
Offer Employee stock options to further support employee success.
Work on employee morale and customer satisfaction and have corporate understand the US market.
