I have been working at Alaska Airlines full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very organized company, good co-workers (some)

    Cons

No one seems to be on the same page past working on the aircraft, to many differences at various stations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have rotating schedules for employees with children because making people work the entire weekend and manage to try to spend time is impossible, family values are not valued by upper management.

I have been working at Alaska Airlines full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Consistent profits and bonus payout each year. Great PTO program. Senior leadership is very visible and the company cares what employees think and looks for ways to constantly improve the work/life balance. Well run, great operational performance and pride in remaining an independent airline.

    Cons

Salary is very average and limited career growth potential once you reach a certain level. Middle management can be a frustrating place at times because of the need to appease senior leaders who can be very "hands on."

    Pros

Feels like family. Small company with sweet dramas. People oriented company

    Cons

IT has a very top-down/ comman & control culture. Not just the leadership, but also people in general.

I have been working at Alaska Airlines

    Pros

    Good name in the industry

    Cons

Needs significant improvement in the Job Application portal. It is pretty much outdated and is almost like a dinasour. I bet a number of prospective candidates will run away with such pathetic navigation!

    Fast Paced, High Pressure Environment

I worked at Alaska Airlines full-time

    Pros

Lots of interesting people, great travel benefits, extensive route network can literally take you places you never thought you would go.

    Cons

Very high stress environment, with long hours and an expectation that salaried employees will work 50-60 hours a week most of the time. The airline industry as a whole is very competitive and cost-conscious, and Alaska is no exception. Do not expect great benefits / perks, outside of the travel benefits (which can be hard to take advantage of). Pay is generally below market when compared to other Seattle-area companies, but is probably in line with other airlines.
