Former Employee – worked at Allianz full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Initially, this firm was booming and growing back in 2008. In fact, this firm was doing very well while the rest of Wall Street was crumpling. Overall, the vacation days are decent, good health benefits, fairly young crowd. Work hours stick to a 9-5 parameter.
Cons – Very unstable, no growth or opportunity for most workers. Management don't know how to manage, there is very low or no moral. HR is almost do not exsist. There is no cohesiveness or integregration, each department is in its own world. The RIS group is ran like a muck, they do their own things, have their own cake & coffee hours.
Advice to Senior Management – Management should allow growth & opportunity for your employees. They need to hire or lay off the right people, they should not lay off top, quality workers. I have seen many top, quality people get lay off. They need to wake up & smell the coffee.

Current Employee – been working at Allianz full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good pay, decent benefits. Some fun people work here.
Cons – Profit sharing and 401(k) matching are 0% vested until 3 years of service. Cubicle life for everyone without a senior manager title. Most cubicles have 1.5 walls and "0" privacy. IT systems are a complete joke. Restrictions on travel and other expenses are over the top.
Advice to Senior Management – Respect your employees more. Invest in IT.

Pros – Global opportunities, strong global brand
Cons – - A global company that lacks any type of ethnic diversity in the US, particularly at the leadership level, and has no focus on diversity.
- Needs to go to the market in a more innovative and strategic way
- Has to figure out how to strengthen its brand in the US

Current Employee – been working at Allianz full-time for more than a year
Pros – Nice atmosphere, big company, good benefits. A good place to work for someone who has a family as the work life balance is good - most people leave around 5:30.
Cons – Some disconnect due to multiple locations - hard to get hold of people. Apart from that, not bad. I would work here again.

Former Employee – worked at Allianz as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – Solid pay, nice colleagues, normal working hours, gets you accustomed to high pressure multitasking situations and dealing with lots of problems at the same time
Cons – Incredible amounts of work when server chrashes(under staffing), occasional unprofessional employes calling for issue they should have learned working (which you as a student will not know)
Advice to Senior Management – Train your low level salesmen and saleswomen better in the usage of the software, a lot of time is lost explaining basic issues to them, this time can be more usefully used in other places.
