I have been working at Allianz full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Trainig was good for starting out in the industry. Most the staff was friendly until you get to management.

    Cons

Much of a 'who you know' culture. Systems were horrible and pay was below industry average.

I have been working at Allianz full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Working in a global environment has been a great experience for me. I've learned a lot in my 3 years and a lot of that has to do with the diversity of colleagues I have the privilege of working with.

    Cons

Working in a global environment tends to slow down large scale projects and removes some of the decision making ability from the various regions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.

    Pros

Great learning experience and generous pay. Canteen is excellent and accessible easily anytime if student at LMU. Very international teams and employees are very open to networking.

    Cons

At times a bit too conservative. Very slow and bureaucratic when it comes to change.

    Consulting Intern

I worked at Allianz as an intern

    Pros

You will get extremely involved with what is actually going on (you're not just grabbing coffee and the errand boy). However that means you get a lot of the busy work and taking on multiple projects. Your powerpoint skills go through the roof. Allianz likes their powerpoints a very distinct way and is ingrained in their culture to have flawless decks.

    Cons

The irritability of the upper management about how specific everything must be. Veering away from the set way of doing things is not accepted or tolerated.

    I worked at Allianz

    Pros

good working environment, friendly people, very helpful supervisor. a moderate company which provide a good ground for junior to learn a lot of and gain a lot of hand on experiences. Great working culture and strong bonding between colleagues.

    Cons

Since it is a moderate company in size, the system is not as well developed yet, a lot of maintenance on going which often slow down working progress.
